What To Expect During Your First Visit

When you come for your first visit to Harmony Orthodontics you'll know right away that you're going to love it here.

You'll first get to meet our wonderful staff that will promptly greet you.  You'll get a tour of the office and learn a bit about some of the staff.

We'll next go over your medical and dental history with you to make sure we understand any issues you may be having.  We'll ask you what you would like to change about your smile and what questions you may have that we can answer.

It may be necessary for Dr. Nikki to have an x-ray of your mouth called a Panorex in order for her to properly diagnose any issues you may have with your bite.  If it's necessary, and we don't already have one from your dentist, we'll ask to take one at this time.  No worries though, the x-ray is taken at no charge.  In fact, the entire initial exam is done at no charge.

Dr. Nikki will then do a thorough examination of your teeth, jaws, face, and neck.  She'll then explain in simple terms exactly what problems she may see and what can be done to correct them.

Most often Dr. Nikki will be able to give you the cost and length of treatment to expect right away.  Occasionally though there are some patients who have issues that take a little more thorough planning to determine the right treatment approach.  If this is the case, we may need to take some models of your teeth, an additional x-ray and some photographs that Dr. Nikki can use to create a full treatment plan.  If this is necessary we'll discuss it with you in detail so you'll know everything that needs to happen and any costs that will be involved.
